Meet Alyssa, Your Trusted Guide to Herbal Medicine + Holistic Wellness
I understand the frustration of facing health challenges without feeling supported. When dealing with PCOS, my doctor advised I go on birth control and metformin. Although my symptoms did get better on these prescriptions, I knew that I wasn't truly healing. This is when I decided to turn to herbal medicine. Despite skepticism from my doctor, I decided to go off my prescription meds and start a herbal protocol. The results spoke for themselves. Within three months, my hormone levels were balanced and my symptoms were gone.
Are you tired of feeling unsupported in your health journey? Allow me to hold space and guide you. With over 17 years of experience teaching high school biology and chemistry, I possess a deep understanding of the science behind how our bodies function. My passion for delivering information in an easy-to-understand and relatable manner ensures that you'll grasp complex concepts effortlessly. As a clinical herbalist with eight years of practice, a yoga teacher with over a decade of experience, and a Reiki master, I bring a holistic approach to wellness that encompasses mind, body, and spirit. When I opened Herbs Love And Yoga, I made it a priority to ensure that we were not just a store but a state-certified manufacturing facility of dietary supplements and CBD products. Quality and safety are non-negotiables for me. |

DOES THIS TRAINING MAKE ME A CERTIFIED HERBALIST?
In the United States, there isn't a officially recognized credential equivalent to 'certification' or 'license' for herbalists. However, various schools offer programs leading to titles like Master Herbalist, Certified Herbalist, Family Herbalist, or Community Herbalist. While these titles lack formal state or federal recognition, they serve as valid means to convey your education and experience, indicating a certain level of proficiency. Our program serves as a comprehensive foundation for further specialization, allowing you to focus on areas such as community herbalism or clinical herbalism. Graduates can also register as members of the American Herbalist Guild, obtaining a Registered Herbalist Membership. This membership serves as a way for herbalists to showcase core knowledge and experience, establishing a meaningful competency standard for themselves, their communities, and other health professionals and institutions. We acknowledge that herbalists worldwide possess various skills, and registering with the American Herbalists Guild is just one avenue to demonstrate expertise. For those who value peer review as confirmation of their clinical skills, the designation 'Registered Herbalist' signifies a recognized level of expertise and commitment to herbalism. ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL TRAININGS I CAN TAKE AFTER LEVEL 1?
