  6. Repeat steps 3-5: again with the same herbs- we always use our herbs twice!

I have diverticulitis and have a book that has infusions to try. One recipe says to use dandelion root nettles and steep for 20 minutes before drinking. Another recipe says slippery Elm 1 tablespoon steep for 20 minutes before drinking. And another recipe says 2 tablespoons of marshmallow root and steep for 20 minutes before drinking.

My question here is, can I combine all of these into one concoction?
If so, should I do more than 20 minutes or is 20 minutes a reasonable amount?
Finally, would it be a problem to use a French press for this process?

I would really like to be able to utilize infusions to help heal my intestines during diverticulitis flareups instead of having to depend on antibiotics. I look forward to an answer on this.
